The is one talented squirrel! Perhaps his name is Claude Mornuts?
Happy Hug Your Cat Day! I found this article on “BuzzFeed” and it is so cute I couldn’t pass it up! It made me smile right through my migraine! (That says a lot!) And even though I never need a reason to hug my cats, a celebration is a celebration! So, let’s celebrate!
Hey, where did all of my cats go?…
Anyway, thank you to Chelsea Marshall for a great article!
1. You probably already know this but: your cat is the frickin’ best.
2. Like so-cute-it hurts level best.
3. They deal with your B.S..
4. They give the most adorable hugs in the world.
5. It doesn’t matter if it’s your hand…
6. …or your head…
7. …it’s always adorable.
10. …because they are so very patient.
11. They welcome even the smallest members of your family.
12. And continue to surprise you with their compassion.
13. Even when you say, “I’m fine”…
they know when you need that extra TLC.
14. Your cat is there for you during break-ups…
15. …and early-morning wake-ups.
16. They’re an epic support system when you need them.
17. Also, there’s the adorable factor.
JUST LOOK AT THIS AND TELL ME YOU DON’T WANT IN.
18. Sometimes they don’t like asking for it…
19. But they’re ALWAYS deserving of it.
EVEN when they are a pain in the butt.
20. Because your cat just GETS you.
21. ❤ And deserves all the love in the world. ❤
Most of us are sitting around a table, sharing a festive meal with family and friends, enjoying each others company.
Today, I am welcoming a friend into my home and into my family. For this, I am thankful. Thankful for being able to do this for a woman whom I consider a sister and who has been there for me many a time. Thankful that, while I can help her, she is willing to help me as well. Thankful that she understands my illness and treats me the same as she always has – with love and respect.
Today, I give thanks for all of the understanding, love and support I receive from my family. The road I travel would be a lot more difficult without it.
Today, I give thanks to the people with ME/CFS, who are using the little bit of energy they have, and their supporters, to advocate for this invisible illness. Together we are fighting an uphill battle – one that has been made necessary by neglect and abuse from the medical community. I am thankful that I have enough energy to join the fight.
In fact, everyday I am thankful for all of the above and more.
Thank you for reading this blog!
So hello everyone!
When anyone says hello to me, it immediately brings a smile to my face as I respond in kind. A moment of sunshine in a hectic day. It makes you feel noticed and valued. So much from such a small word!
Spread the love – say hello to anyone you meet today. It will brighten both your worlds!
In my home, everyday is a Happy Cat Day, but today it is Official! In honor of this day, I am putting up several commercials which star felines. I find them quite amusing. Hope you do too!
And to all my furry friends out there – hope you get an extra snack today! Happy National Cat Day!
As I am sitting here petting one of my cats, I have just discovered it was World Cat Day! Teagan’s Books has put together a blog for the occasion which celebrates several cat-loving authors (including herself) and their fluffballs of affection.
How could I miss World Cat Day? But I almost did! I’ve absolutely no idea why my cats were letting me overlook it. They probably meant to let me know at some point between their after lunch nap and their mid-afternoon nap. If not, then before their pre-dinner nap.
There have been many wonderful feline characters in books and film. (Forgive me for including Lilith, the calico from Atonement, Tennessee in that.) Also, many great authors were cat people. Whether you are a writer or a reader, I hope you will enjoy seeing a few of them.
Joyce Carol Oates — “I write so much because my cat sits on my lap. She purrs so I don’t want to get up. She’s so much more calming than my husband.”
Jean Cocteau — “I love cats because I enjoy my home; and little by little, they become…
